Tracing its origins to Tonk in Rajasthan this particular variant is usually performed by musicians at festivals. The Algoza Mandali style is a congregation of male vocalists who face each other in a prolonged musical competition. This conspicuously distinctive singing style of the performers is attuned to the music of the Algoza, Manjeera and Dholak.
